Cardiff Family Wellbeing Service Conference

Tuesday 17 October 2023
09:00 - 16:00
Ricoh Suite, Cardiff City Stadium, Leckwith Road, Cardiff, CF11 8AZ

The Cardiff Family Wellbeing Conference will enable you to learn about the shared experience of our integrated partnerships and how we work creatively to support children, young people and families across Cardiff.

We are pleased to announce that the conference will be opened by Lynn Neagle, Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Well-Being. This conference is an opportunity for colleagues in health, education and social care to take stock and consider to how Integrated Child and Family Health Services can be designed and commissioned to provide early intervention and preventative services. The event will include evidence and examples of the benefits of whole family approaches and community-based services that lead to better support and outcomes for children and families.

Children and Young People’s experiences and voices will be promoted throughout the day so that all professionals receive key messages and increase their understanding of their experiences. Children and Young People supported by Family Wellbeing Service have also worked with Mess Up the Mess theatre to produce an interactive installation for the day.

You will have the opportunity to hear from mental health experts including Professor Neil Frude (consultant Clinical Psychologies) and Rukshana Kapasi; Director of Health at Barnardo’s. The afternoon will include a range of workshops for you to choose from. Delivered by our specialist consultants, experienced staff and partners, these will be informative, interactive and creative.

During the afternoon you can participate in workshops including:
